A recently finished custom piece, open shelving unit with a “gold tooth”. Patinated solid steel, hand brazed solid brass and oxidized maple.
I wrapped up a king size bed earlier this fall and my clients were kind enough to take a few photos of their new bed installed and ready for many good nights of sleep. It was nice to revisit a style I haven't worked in for a while now; I made rustic/industrial furniture and utilized reclaimed wood exclusively for many years, it was fun to approach it with a more refined take this time around.
It took me about six months, but I finally got some shots of a couple of add-on fixtures I did for In VIntage We trust back in the spring. A lit wall cabinet for pins and patches which incorporates some vintage olive drab and some expanded steel shelving for caps join the rest of the fixtures I did for them last fall.
IVWT has just launched a brand new website and a few collaborative projects of their own in store, including my favorite, their collaborative collection with Ebbets Field Flannels. If you are in toronto and like well curated vintage put IVWT on your to do list, if you aren’t in Toronto their online shop launches soon, so keep an eye out for that.

Finished up this little custom piece recently, it’s a custom workstation for a home recording studio. The boxes on the sides are to house audio processing equipment, the smaller ones on top double as speaker stands and the small center platform on the desktop is a riser for computer monitors.
Blackened steel, Maple plywood.
TODO 2015 wrapped up recently and I'm happy to have been a part of it again this year. This time around I designed and built a sofa, which was probably a lofty goal for the timeline I was on, but I got it done. I'm also excited to say that the "Nathan" sofa received a nod from Designlines Magazine, always a great feeling to have your work recognized. The sofa will be available for custom order in a variety of options so please inquire if you are interested.
Very happy to see the Nathan sofa on this list.
A nice post about my boy. R.I.P
Finally have some pictures of the build I wrapped up this past November for In Vintage We Trust’s brand new retail location in Toronto’s Parkdale neighborhood. Everything was built in solid Maple and blackened steel for a clean and uniform look. I designed the tall display units to be modular; the various components can be mixed in various combinations to allow for easy merchandizing changes.
IVWT specializes in workwear, athletic, military and pop culture pieces. The store is excellently curated and I highly suggest you stop in.
